trying to educate people on how to handle records properly, while also amusing people who do know. we understand that this might piss off the people we reblog, but really, thats part of the fun. if you have any questions about record care, we'll gladly awnser them.
(ps get those filthy fingers off that record and stop defending pop punk)

if you manage to not be a dick about it, and politely ask, i WILL take down posts.

I was thinking a lot about records last night…I guess for me, the appeal isn’t in the tone being better or any of that crap. I just think we’re used to electricity being able to do all sorts of crazy stuff, so digital music isn’t that interesting. But here is a physical object that is MUSIC! Watching it spin around like a pottery wheel, it’s all really interesting and physical and precise and mechanical! They’re collectable as fuck too.
And you can do shit like make the disc green O_O

please why no dont say that

Anonymous asked: It'd be greatly appreciated if this blog became active again. many thanks.

I still reblog one picture per day though???
Maybe I’ll set the queue to post a bit later so Americans will actually be awake when I post. It’s set on 6 PM GMT +2 now.

chrysanthedads asked: So how do you handle records properly- what are the basic guidelines?

1. Do not touch the playing surfaces of the record.
2. DO NOT touch they playing surfaces of the record.
3. Store upright, away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
4. Dust the record off when it appears dusty with a SPECIAL RECORD BRUSH, not a piece of cloth.
5. DO NOT TOUCH THE PLAYING SURFACES OF THE RECORD.
